چکیده
Background: Caused by the degenerative spine disease (DSD), pain syndrome in lumbosacral and lower extremities represents a socioeconomic problem. Nowadays, minimally invasive methods of treatment, particular, epidural injections (EI), are commonly used. Objective: To do literature review on translaminar EIs their mechanism action treating patients with radicular vertebrogenic symptoms arising from DSD. Materials : We analyzed most recent data which efficacy corticosteroid for DSD was evaluated. Conclusions Translaminar corticosteroids effective relieving short term (up to 6 months) delaying surgery, but evidence long-term benefits is yet be found.

Fluoroscopically guided caudal epidural steroid injections in degenerative lumbar spine stenosis.
BACKGROUND Caudal epidural steroid injections are commonly utilized to help reduce radicular pain in lumbar spinal stenosis. There have been studies done to evaluate the effectiveness of this procedure non-fluoroscopically guided. Search revealed no prospective studies evaluating the effectiveness of fluoroscopically guided caudal epidural injections on patients with bilateral radicular pain fr...

growth was significantly slowed by MBZ treatment, whereas in untreated controls, tumors extended into the ventricles, resembling the human disease. Overall survival was prolonged by 150% in the SHH allograft model and by 100% in the SHH vismodegib-resistant allograft model. In the group 3 xenograft model, median survival was increased by a striking 129% from 21 to 48 days (P , 1 · 1024; Figure)...
متن کاملEffect of Adding Calcitonin to Translaminar Epidural Steroid in Degenerative Lumbar Spinal Canal Stenosis.
BACKGROUND Spinal canal stenosis is one of the most common causes of low back pain and disability. Its management varies from surgical to conservative, and the indications for ideal management are not clearly defined. OBJECTIVES This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of adding calcitonin to local anesthetic and corticosteroid in epidural injection for patients suffering from degenera...

STUDY DESIGN A prospective cohort. PURPOSE To report the short and long term outcomes of fluoroscopically guided lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) in degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) patients. OVERVIEW OF LITERATURE TFESI has been widely used for the treatment of lumbosacral radicular pains. However, to our knowledge, there has been no study which has evalu...
